A Buddhist monk, the Rev. Venerable Waga Gnanaloka, practiced medicine in the quiet village of Batalanda about 12 miles outside of Colombo, the commercial center of Sri Lanka. He comes from a long line of Doctors practicing traditional medicine and he had a degree from Vidyodaya Pirivena, an institution imparting education to Buddhist monks.
At eighty years of age the monk looked like forty, but more important was the fact that he led a very active life. Hundreds gathered at the Veda Gedera (Home of medicine) where an initial spoon full of Pranajeewa Oil was administered to every patient. News reached far and wide, all over the country of the tremendous relief that followed from the administration of just a single tablespoon of Pranajeewa. His only understudy was Dr. Sujeewa Vithanage, a young doctor with a medical degree from the University of Colombo(B.A.M.S.), who was engaged in extensive research into the ancient system of medicine. Together they made the Pranajeewa Oil in cauldrons. Pranajeewa was a recipe from the monk’s ancestors and dates back over 900 years, originally written on ola leaves. The current recipe remains unchanged for at least 200 years.
Pranajeewa Oil Today. Pranajeewa oil is traditionally taken orally, but it can also be applied to wounds, scratches, bruises, sores, rashes, etc.
What goes into the making of Pranajeewa Oil? The process involved in making Pranajeewa Oil is accurate, yet it is as ancient today as it was two hundred years ago. The procedure takes an average of four and a half to six months. Rare and precious herbs go into the making of the oil. The oils used in the making of Pranajeewa are made within the premises of the Ayurveda Hospital and the herbs simmer for a period of six months. After the goodness is absorbed, the concentrated oil is poured into bottles and is ready. Pranajeewa does not contain preservatives, colorings, poisonous chemicals, micro-organisms or bacteria, ash particles, sugar, or yeast additives because the ancient recipe does not call for these harmful additions. Pranajeewa contains only margosa oil, gingelly oil, ghee, castor oil, mee thel, and over 100 kinds of natural herbs.
Tests conducted by the Sri Lankan Industrial Institute of Technology show that Pranajeewa Oil does not contain any ethyl alcohol or heavy materials. The amazing new finding is that it is also on par or even better than any of the energy boosters available in the market. The normal dosage for adults consists of 2 tablespoons per day with a glass of warm water and for children 6-12 years one tee spoon. It can be taken any time of day and should be stored in a warm dry place. Pranajeewa can be taken along with one’s usual or routine medication.
Setysuwa Pranajeewa is made according to an ancient herbal formula that dates back to over 3000 years. The current formula was recorded over 200 years ago and remained unchanged. The fresh hand-picked herbs are washed, cut, and dried to make this medicine which is simmered in heavy stainless steel cauldrons for over four months continuously during which time the goodness of the herbs are absorbed into the five oils.

I have been continuously using this oil without a break. Even when I was
abroad on my sabbatical leave I took enough stock of this oil with me to
last my two-year stint at Oxford University. Why I took to this oil is
not because I had any particular ailment to be cured but it was the faith
in it that I developed as I experience the beneficial effects of its use
on my general health condition, my physical fitness, and wellness. I found
improvements in the health condition which I would attribute to the
protection against illness and diseases that was given to me by the use
of this oil. To this day no major illness has been diagnosed in my body.

Some years ago I was told that due to 95% of blockage of my arteries that
I was in need of an angioplasty and stent. Therefore I underwent this surgery
and after a few months went for a check-up to monitor the results of the surgery.
To my surprise I was told that my arteries were blocked once again and that there
was no alternative but to go through the same procedure all over again, this was
not something I wanted to do. During the time I was contemplating my options
I had the privilege of getting to know Ven. Waga Ghanaloka Thero. Through him
I was introduced to the supplement known as the Pranajeewa. I was using this oil
for some weeks after which I had another health check and I was told that
everything was fine with my arteries and heart condition. Up to date I am consuming
Pranajeewa and I are able to maintain a very stablehealth condition. I can recommend
Pranajeewa is a wonderful remedy for not only heart problems but many other health
issues like diabetes and so on, as this is a natural remedy with no side effects and has
already proved the positive results it has on the consumer.
